Home / Bonfire Night & Public Displays
Crowd-scale skies, paperwork included.
Public displays are where professionalism shows: thousands watching, a licensing officer somewhere in the crowd, and no second chances. We've fired them since 1994 — bonfire nights, fetes, switch-ons and civic events — with the safety file done before anyone asks.
What your event gets
A site visit and risk assessment, insurance documents for your council or committee, a firing site plan with crowd distances marked, our own trained crew, and a display designed to the site — not a one-size package lobbed into any field. Typical public shows run around 13 minutes; from £2,750, with music-fired shows and larger budgets scaling from there.
Schools and fundraisers: ask about running an early family show and a later main show — one crew, one setup, twice the gate.
The quiet alternative
Residents, livestock or a strict curfew? Two answers: our low-noise displays (all colour, a fraction of the bang), or — through our sister company — a laser show with no bangs at all. We're the only team in the region that can fire either, or both together.
Questions we get asked
How much does a public firework display cost?
Professionally fired public displays start at £2,750 for a typical bonfire-night show of around 13 minutes. Music-synchronised shows and larger events scale from there — big civic pyromusicals across the UK run £5,000–£20,000.
What safety cover do you provide?
Site visit, risk assessment, firing plan with crowd standoff distances, trained crew and public liability insurance documents for your committee or council — all included, all before your licensing conversation needs them.
How far from the crowd are the fireworks?
It depends on the calibre of shell the site allows — that's exactly what the site visit determines. Bigger field, bigger show; we design to the space honestly.
When should we book for November?
Spring, genuinely. November Fridays and Saturdays are the first dates gone every year, and the best shows are designed over weeks, not days.
Can we have fireworks AND lasers?
Yes — our family also runs Void Acoustic Hire's laser shows. Fireworks for the finale, lasers for the build-up (or as the no-bang alternative), one crew across both.
